SOUS DT Reveal - M&M Store

Hello again dear blogging friends.
Time for the newest sketch reveal over at

These great photo's were taken at the fabulous
 M & M Store in London.

The great sketch from our own
Sandi Clarkson

And not a piece of Portobello Road
 paper in sight...lol

The papers I have used are
Basic Grey "Urban Prairie"
which have been in my stash forever,
but the colours were perfect
for these photo's.

The title alpha's are American Crafts
Thickers "Rockabye" white
and "Darling" lipgloss.

Flowers are a mixture of stash
 and handmade from the papers.

The leaf branches are a Sizzix die.

Twine from the Twinery "Honeydew"
and buttons from my stash.

Daughter and I had an amazing
couple of hours in this store,
 which has four storeys
and M&Ms in every conceivable costume!

Including four M&Ms emulating
the Beatles "Abbey Road" album,
you know the one.
Where they are crossing the
road on the Zebra Crossing.

I bought my three Granddaughters
 M&M pyjamas from the store
 - too cute. Will have to scrap the
photo's of them wearing them - one day....lol.

Now you must head over to
see what my fellow DT members
have done with the sketch
and have a go yourself.

You have two weeks to get
your entries in and maybe be
 chosen as Top 3.

See you over there.

Hugs

SOUS DT Card Reveal 5

Hello again. It's Wednesday, again.

Card Sketch reveal day at
again.

Love it....

The great sketch by our own Leah,
love it.

I have used papers from
 Papermania "Midnight Fairytale"

The image is from a sheet of
toppers by JEJE Produkt.nl

You didn't think for a minute
that I coloured in a stamp did you?

I don't do colouring.
 I have enough stuff without
going down that road.

But, I do love these images,
and to buy them ready made
is a dream for a scrapbooker that
likes to dabble in cards.....KWIM!!!!

I have layered the image,
 which I cut with Nesties
 Standard Circles sm, onto
Nesties Heart Circles cut from
black Bazzill cardstock

The flowers are also by Bazzill
and the sentiment has been floating
about my stash for, well,
I don't know how long....lol.
The black pearl is from FWAB

Too easy....

Now, head over to
soak up the talent of my fellow
DT members and have a go at
the sketch yourself,
 you know you want to....

Hugs for now

SOUS DT Reveal - Hever Castle

Good Friday everyone

It's reveal day over at

With an interesting sketch from our Sandi

Lots of circles.....

Sandi's Sketch....

Now, I have a confession to make

I am starting to get a bit fed up
with these papers now (can you tell?)

And, I bet you all saw it coming...lol

And that damn coat I'm wearing
- it's in every photo!!!

Anyway....

These photos are from a day trip
we took out of London to the beautiful
County of Kent,
about an hour from London

Hever Castle was the
childhood home of Anne Boleyn
- second wife of Henry VIII
and mother of Queen Elizabeth I

Papers are the "Portobello Road"
Collection from Papermania
(as if you didn't know)

I made the paper rosette
with the Tim Holtz die "Paper Rosette"

The flowers, little roses
and leaves are from my stash
The large flower centre is a
Prima centre "Monarch Red"

Around the edge of the papers
I have used the Martha Stewart
 PATP "Layered Arches"

The title is computer generated
onto a Spellbinders "Fancy Tags Two"
die and a wee bit Tim Holtz
 Distress Ink "Weathered Wood"
I cut the various circles
using Spellbinders "Classsic Circles" small.

Done and dusted.

It might be a wee while
before you see these papers again,
but I do have quite a few left,
so, we'll see...lol

Now, you must head over to
and see what my fellow DT girls
have done with this sketch

They are all super talented girls,
and there is a lot of inspiration there

Then why not join us and
upload your interpretation of the sketch

Looking forward to seeing you there

Hugs for now

Golden Wedding

Two very special people celebrate
 a very special day today

My Aunt Carol & Uncle Jim
Aunt Carol is also my Godmother

Their 50th Wedding Anniversary
They were married the year I was born

So, I set to and made them this
12 x 12 frame with one of their
wedding photo's and a recent photo

Lots of special things on this project....
Papers are Blae & Ivy Collection from Kaiser
There's Prima, Zva, Spellbinders, American Crafts,
ribbon, lace, roses, KindyGlitz,
gorgeous crochet doily, trinkets
and two precious photo's

The theme continues with the card,
also using Blae & Ivy

The numbers at the top of card
and frame are American Thickers,
 which were originally pink!
I sanded them back and heat embossed them
with gold embossing powder

I stamped and embossed the word
celebrate at card bottom also
Martha Stewart "Layered Arches" PATP

And, of course, a box for the card!

Simply decorated with some paper, ribbon
and a few wee roses.
I have added the punched edge inside
 the acetate window and finished
with a wee bit ribbon trim

A money wallet, which is also
 Blae & Ivy,
 though you wouldn't
know it (the back of this paper is blue!)

Martha Stewart "Lace Doily" punch
Some more ribbon trim, beautiful wee roses,
including one yellow rose, a couple of Prima
 leaves and some gold sprigs

Now, what to put it in?

Pizza box of course!!
 Average box 12 x 12. Frame 14 x 14! *#!**

So, beautiful Daughter headed round to
the local take away for me and asked to buy
a big (16x16) pizza box. No food, just the box!

She got a few funny looks,
not least from the customers waiting
for their orders, and duly arrived home
 with this beauty

A couple of sheets of wrapping paper,
 and duly transformed

Loving the title frame
Nestabilities "Floral Ovals"
and gold card - perfect

A few sheets of gold tissue paper

Wrapped and ready to go

So, dear Aunt Carol & Uncle Jim,
Congratulations on your
Golden Wedding Anniversary,
you are an inspiration to all of us
