CHA - C = Candy....

Hello again, here we go with the letter C - photo overload I'm afraid - lot's beginning with C - including my favourites - CRICUT & CANDY.....

So, persevere to the end - LOL....

Candy begins.....

CHA

This is the LA Convention Centre....

Mandy and Diane making their way into the Centre/Center....

My first visual of the Trade Show floor..... here we go....

I have put here the photo's from CHA that don't seem to fit anywhere else......

Loved this booth - never thought of glue as glamorous before - but, that's marketing for you...

Aren't these fluffy Christmas Trees gorgeous - made from feathers....

CONNIE CRYSTAL

Connie's booth was beautiful - all the lights and sparkles was pretty powerful....

Here is Diane with Connie....

CRAFTWORK CARDS CANDI

What an amazing product this is.....

Brads without the prongs......

A wee glue dot, attach the Candi and, voila - looks like a brad.....

Enfys designs for this company....

The samples at this booth were beautiful - love the dotty candi....

In gold and silver as well....

CREATIVE IMAGINATIONS

Usually love the papers and embellishments from CI, was a wee bit disappointed with their booth.....

But, they did have this product which I thought was very clever.... Cardmaking for Dummies - I've seen it all now....LOL

And, the cards are really sweet.....

New collection from Marah Johnson - love this designers style.....

CRICUT

I finally got to meet the big green bug himself....

Hard to believe it is the 5th anniversary of Cricut already.....

And, here it is - the Cricut Expression 2......

Looking forward to getting my hands on one of these.....

It does away with the overlays, and has a touch screen. You can also cut with both traditional cartridges and the cartridges for the Imagine - although you can't print the designs of course, still need the Imagine for that....

Also in the pipeline from Provocraft is the Cricut Craft Room - an online design studio.....

I had a wee play with it, and can't wait til it goes online around May/June......

This is one of the two Make & Takes at the Cricut booth.....

And this was the second one - I'm sure you've seen it all over the Net by now, this one was very popular - I think we had to wait in line for nearly an hour - but it was lovely to chat with others while we waited, and this was also when we got a chance to play with the Craft Room....

And, here are my two bugs, back home in Australia......

I was going to use the big bug as candy on my blog, but I have decided to send him over to Brisbane to a very brave little lady - Alyssa....

Our fellow design team member at Scrappy Go Lucky, Tereesa, was coming to CHA with us, but before Christmas her daughter Alyssa became seriously ill, and was in hospital for quite some time, including Christmas.....

Thankfully she is home now, but still has to attend the hospital every other day for chemotherapy and haemodialysis - and of course, Tereesa couldn't leave her while she is so ill.....

The little bug will stay with me and come on my travels around the globe - more about that later....

Here is little bug at the Moonlight Mixer Party, hosted by CHA, to announce the winners of best dressed booth etc......

He started out quite well behaved.....

But, after a wee while.....

Was quite the naughty little bug....

CRICUT 5th BIRTHDAY BASH

at the Conga Room in Downtown LA.....

There was a very well made video of Cricut's early days at Provocraft....

He just didn't fit in, until they discovered his tremendous ability to die cut - and the rest, as they say, is history......LOL

Some of the kids from So You Think You Can Dance were the special guests.....

And, my goodness, can they dance.....

Even the CEO of Provocraft, Jim Thornton, was up there hip hopping, quite impressive too, I might add.....

Here I am with one of the boys from So You Think You Can Dance....

This is Enfys, Diane and myself with our special goodie bags from the Birthday Bash....

In the bags were the big bugs (above), a special birthday T-shirt and the Birthday Bash cartridge - were we happy or what....

What a party.....

Now to celebrate Cricut's 5th Birthday - here is the first candy from my CHA review....
CANDY

The inaugural issue of the Cricut magazine......

Mother's Day Bouquet cartridge.....

April Showers cartridge......

For a chance to win one of these goodies....

Make sure you are a follower and leave a comment.....

That's it....

Next post will cover the letters D & E....

DCWV - Downtown LA - EK Success....

Not to mention, some more Candy.....

Hugs

Jane xx
