Return to Blog Land

Yay, I'm back for real this time.....LOL
Took me longer than usual to get over the jet lag
- sign of age or what......LOL
This is a layout done recently (nothing new since
my return from Scotland yet)
of DGD # 1 Rebekah from Christmas last year.....

Bo Bunny papers.....

Gorgeous Prima flowers.....

Martha Stewart Round the Corner punch set
- Layered Arches.....

Kaiser pearls.....

Distressing.....

and inking......

Now to our holiday.....
What a trip.....
Dubai was wonderful - we LOVE Dubai.....
Photo's of that in a later post.......
But first, the most important photo's -
my THREE granddaughters TOGETHER
for the first time
- with their Granny......

DGD # 1 Rebekah, aged 4
DGD # 2 Erin, aged 2
DGD # 3 Emma, aged 17 mths
Granny, aged unmentionable....LOL

My goodness, was this a hard photo to get....
Rebekah was an angel, you can reason with a
four year old....LOL
But the little ones, my goodness, would they sit at peace,
would they look at the camera at the same time.....
Notice the crackers in the first photo
- blackmail.....LOL
These are the best two of about 50 shots
- whew, Grandchildren
- Gotta love 'em....
It was totally wonderful spending time with my Dad
and his partner Kate, we stayed with them
while we were home, sad to leave,
and my son and his wee gorgeous daughter
whom I hadn't seen since she was
two months old - she has turned into
a beautiful little girl.....
However, was glad to get back to the heat of Australia,
it's hot, hot, hot, here. I forgot how cold it
gets in Scotland, and it's only November.
I don't think I would survive
January and February back home now.......
Speaking to Dad on the phone tonight,
he says it started snowing yesterday
- quite glad it waited til we left -
don't miss the snow one little bit......
The latest Cricut Workshop for Scrappy Go Lucky
was today - will be posting the layouts and
cards on the Scrappy Go Lucky blog......

Meanwhile, back into my scrappy room.
The latest sketch is up at Stuck On U Sketches,
can't wait to play, was having
withdrawals while in Scotland.....
And, while I was away I missed Mr Linky for the
Stuck On U Sketches Autumn Mini Book Swap
that I took part in during Aug/Sept.
Will post the mini I made and the
one I received in the swap here soon......

Thanks for reading my ramblings,
if you've gotten this far....

Will 'talk' to you soon on your blogs.....
Hugs

Workshop # 9

The last three of the twelve Off The Page

projects I made for the

Cricut Workshop,

using the

Tim Holtz Vintage Shabby Paper Stack....

Two cards and a wee handbag.....

I loved working with these papers,

and the stacks are great value for money.....

I still have loads left,

after three layouts and twelve OTPs....

So, that's that.....

By the time all these

projects have uploaded to the blog,
I should be back in Australia,

from my month at home in

Scotland....

I will be around to see what

you have all been up to

while I have been away.....

And get back to the

sketch challenges at SOUS.....

Hugs

Mini Pizza Box and Notelets....

I have made many of these wee sets,

but this is the first set with Cricut images added.....

(Note to self - post other Pizza Box sets to Blog).....

Still using the Tim Holtz

Vintage Shabby Paper Stack.....

Have added some burgundy ribbon.....

And a stamped image to the inside of the notelets.....

Nice, easy gift for someone......

Workshop # 5

For this OTP project for

using the

Tim Holtz Vintage Shabby Paper Stack,

I have simply covered a

store bought notebook.....

A wee bit of navy ribbon

to finish the join of the two

different papers.....

I cut the nib of the quill

using gold mirror card

- looks good, and quite authentic....

A quick and simple way to make

a boring black notebook more appealing....

Workshop # 4

Today's Off The Page using the

Tim Holtz Vintage Shabby Paper Stack

is a Book Box.....

I made the little florette using the

Martha Stewart border punch - Lace Doily...

Ran the bordered strip through a paper crimper.....

Concertina folded the strip....

Then joined the edges to form a circle,

flattened the middle and attached a punched circle of c/s

- voila - there are plenty of tutorials throughout

the Net on making these lovely florettes.....

I've also added a black tassle

- I just thought it kinda went with it....!!

Thanks for dropping in again.....
