Scary Strawberry

Happy Hallowe'en from Bonnie Scotland.....

Here's a layout I made recently for

I have used the Happy Hauntings cartridge.....

This photograph is from Hallowe'en last year,

and yes, Darling Daughter dressed

No 1 Granddaughter as a

PINK strawberry......

The Happy Hauntings cartridge

is full of wonderful images and

the Font is gorgeously drippy and gooey

- I love it....

There are some wonderful images

that can be used for any time of year,

not just Hallowe'en,

and when I get back to Oz

I'm dying to try them,

especially the frames.....

Isn't this bat just perfect.....

The above image is a Pink Paislee stamp.....

I'm loving the pink and yellow,

makes a nice change from

purple and orange.....

Can't wait to see what the

little ones are wearing tonight.....

Last Post.....LOL

Hi girls....
This is my last post before we
head off to
Scotland for the month.....
This is a double layout
designed by my friend,
the beautiful Sue Hines.....

Sue ran this class about two years ago......!!!!

And I have finally finished the project.....

The photo's are DGDs # 1 and # 3
and me - Granny......

Taken on New Year's Day this year.....

I am loving all the little details Sue
has incorporated into her design.....

She sure has an eye for embellishments.......

Sue says herself that sometimes
she has to take stuff OFF
of a page before a class.....!!

Sue does not have a blog,
despite much encouragement......

But, I'm working on her........LOL

Well, that's me for now......
We leave for Scotland on Thursday night,
stay in Dubai for three nights
on the way to Scotland,
and then HOME.....
Can't wait to see Dad, Son,
and Darling
Granddaughter # 2......
It's hard to believe I haven't been
home for two years......
Time sure flies......
I have drafted a few posts to
upload while I am away......
But, sadly, won't be around to
visit your blogs and see
all your wonderful stuff.....
So, no blogging and
no scrapping for a month......
Will be in severe withdrawal
by the time I get back.....
But, I'm sure I'll make up for lost time.....
When I get back it will only be
four weeks to Christmas......aaagh.....
So, take care blogging buddies,
will miss you,
but will be with family.....
See you late November......
Hugs

SOUS - Guest Designer

Happy Friday everybody
- wow, am I happy....
I am honoured to be the Guest Designer
for this fortnight's sketch challenge.....

This is sketch # 40, from Pagemaps
- and it's ROUND.....

Now, I don't mind a challenge
- but, round and FIVE photo's....
All of which I had no idea when
Nanne asked me to Guest Design.....!!!!

But, that's OK.....
I had these beautiful photographs
of DGD # 1 from Christmas (yes, beautiful
weather down here in December) 2008,
and saw the perfect opportunity to
scrap them together......

Papers used are Cosmo Cricket
"DeLovely" collection....
Bazzill cardstock.....
Pink swirls by Flourish With A Bling
"Jasmine, Hot Pink".....

Swirl bling by Zva Creative.....
Martha Stewart Border Punch - Scallop Dot.....
Nestabilities - Classic Oval, Classic Scalloped Oval
and Classic Scalloped Square.....

When the layout was finished,
it just didn't LOOK finished,
so I added the lace around the outside edge
- then I thought "it looks like a tea-tray".....

But, I like it anyway -
and it does kinda go with the colours
and theme of the layout - so it stayed....

So, there we have it.....
I wish to thank Nanne, Sandi and Leah
from SOUS for inviting me to be the
Guest Designer for October 15th, Sketch # 40......
It certainly was a challenge.....
Thanks girls.....
Hugs
Jane xx

SOUS Challenge

Here is my interpretation of the
latest sketch over at

The sketch by Becky Fleck.....

I have again used one of my kits from Lime Tart
- September's Full Tart Kit.....

Papers are Crate Paper's Restoration Collection.....

Little pearls with roses by Prima.....

Border punch is by Martha Stewart
- the Deep Edge Daisy Fan....

Photo's are my Mum and Dad, many years ago,
when they were courting.
They belonged to the local Motorcycle Club
back in the day, and some of the stories
Dad tells me are hilarious, about their antics back then
- treasured family photo's.....

I have done lots of distressing, but NO inking.
I like the raw white edge that the distressing
leaves and decided to leave it as is.....
**********
My previous post has not been much of a success
- a lot of work went into that album.
I thought it would have been a bit of fun
to try and guess the cartridges used
- never mind......
Thanks for dropping by.....
Hugs
Jane xx
