Laptop Virus

Sorry I haven't updated - but my laptop is seriously ill - yep it's got a virus - a Trojan Horse no less - it has had to be crashed back to factory settings to get rid of it.....

That means that everything that I have added to my laptop has gone.....

Cricut Design Studio - my list of favourites - photo's - everything....

This is when I am thankful that I don't store my personal photographs on computer.... as soon as I am finished with a chip in the camera it is transferred to disc and stored safely away....

A timely reminder to all of you who do store photo's on computer...... get them off of there NOW and on to disc - you just never know when a virus will get in - and then it's too late.....

I am writing this post from the PC, but it is so slow I am not even going to attempt to upload photo's....

Hopefully the laptop will be better soon and I can get back to normal blogging - meanwhile I am visiting your blogs and leaving comments - see you sooner rather than later - I hope....

As I said there are dozens more I could send these to, but most of you have them and it is soooo time consuming....

I'm off to these beautiful people's blogs to let them know....

Before I go, can anyone educate this computure numpty how to link a name to a blog to save me having to type out the full web address everytime, as I have had to do - I see you all doing it and I haven't got a clue.... Thanks in anticipation.... Jane xx

Evening every one - no projects, thought I would catch up with some awards I have been given, and have not yet thanked the senders for....

First is this beautiful sentiment from Kaye at www.kayescraftyplace.blogspot.com she sent me this at the beginning of the month - thank you Kaye....

The next two are from my beautiful friend in Arizona, USA, the beautiful Carole Beath at www.crayola58a.blogspot.com She sent me these back in April, yes April!!!! How slack am I?

Thank you so much Carole, they are both adorable....

I now have to pass these on (just a wee bit late!!!). I'm off to my daughter's for dinner and will do that when I return - I'm too hungry at the mo.....

Lime Tart Cards

Finally, I've made some cards with the leftovers from my Lime Tart March kits.....

Now, as you know, I'm not a card maker - so some serious inspiration was required....

So, off to a site I frequent regularly (though, don't participate), Laura Davis and Kazan Clark's "2 Sketches 4 You" at www.2sketches4you.blogspot.com

I traced back to their March sketches (seemed appropriate) and went to work....

This is Kazan's Sketch 21 from 2nd March '09, using Little Yellow Bicycle papers from the March A La Tarte kit leftovers....

Next up is Laura's Sketch 21 from 9th March '09, using Pink Paislee, Pop Fashion papers from the March Half Tart kit....

Next is Kazan's Sketch 22 from 16th March using Pink Paislee, Pop Fashion again....

Next Laura's Sketch 22 from 23rd March, using Basic Grey, Marrakech papers from the March Full Tart kit....

Next is Kazan's Sketch 23 from 30th March, using Pink Paislee, Pop Fashion, again....

And, last, but not least, is a bonus sketch, from the same site, by Berdien Weideveld, March 30th, using Little Yellow Bicycle again.....
Berdien's own site is www.scrapfrombemmel.blogspot.com

And there you have it, six cards from scraps leftover from the layouts from the Lime Tart March kits.....
I actually had fun making them, but don't think I will change my allegiance - I am a scrapbooker, not a cardmaker.....
However, I do admire the many cardmakers out there, their sites far outnumber the scrapbookers.....
And it was visiting these cardmakers blogs that I got the inspiration to decorate the inside of the cards as well as the front, it does kinda finish them off.....
So, thank you all the cardmakers out there for your inspiration, especially Laura Davis, Kazan Clark and Berdien Weideveld.....
I might have another bash at cards with the leftovers from the April kits - if I ever get the layouts done first!!!!! LOL.....
Thank you so much for dropping in, til next time.....

Believe....

Now, for a wee change of direction - Cricut....

All pieces cut from the cartridge "Tinkerbell & Friends" ....

Tinkerbell at 8 inches
Believe at 2 inches
Toadstool at 5 inches
Flower at 5 inches....
Love all the Disney carts - the attention to detail is quite amazing - especially the eye detail, not that I can always do them very well, they are sooooooo fiddly.....

Click on the pictures to get up close to the detail of the cuts.....

Now just to find the right picture of DGD to put on the layout....

Thanks for looking....

Lime Tart #3

Here's the final March kit - the Half Tart, aren't these Pink Paislee papers gorgeous. And the embellishments in the kit are so beautifully co-ordinated....

Here's what I came up with.... Two layouts (plus cards - what cards?????)

I did have to add the title to this page - American Thickers - which are so sparkly, pity you can't see that in the photo.... Everything else was in the kit....

Love the Heidi Swapp sticker embellishment (I'm sure there's a better description for it!!), makes the page pop....

I'm not too excited by the second page, however, the chipboard flourish with the butterfly is gorgeous. I used Tsukineko Versa Color in Sage and Orchid to match the chipboard to the papers....

This was DGD #1 at Christmas last year (notice the Santa "thing" (what are they called?) on her head) - love having Christmas in the middle of summer.....

So, that's the March kit used, one pizza box down - will start on April's soon - very soon - very very soon.....
Thanks for dropping by, and your lovely comments
